We honor a man who as a physician, scientist, and educator shall forever live in history as the developer of the oral poliomyelitis vaccine and a pioneer in the field of medicine. We honor this man who has never relinquished his quest for new challenges and new vistas and who continues his efforts with unabated zeal. We honor a man who translates his ideas into action. If a man’s achievements are measured in terms of his contribution to society then Dr. Albert B. Sabin has truly earned the recognition and appreciation of a grateful world.
